PAUL STUART-SMITH
Paul has over 20 years’ experience in business development and management roles in the shipping industry & financial markets
He led the regulated subsidiary of the Baltic Exchange as Executive Director for 8 years, working at the heart of the global maritime industry
He has significant expertise in financial and climate-related regulation & policy, writes and speaks on ESG and green finance issues and is an advisor to the Climate Bonds Initiative (Shipping Criteria)
Previously, he held high-profile roles in trading, risk management and business development at Morgan Stanley & Chemical Bank across a range of asset classes
Paul also served in the Army for 4 years, holds a degree in Mathematics from Oxford, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Law and is trained as a Barrister
JANE STEVENSEN
Jane has over 20 years’ experience advising businesses on sustainability strategy & practice
She led Grant Thornton’s Sustainability Practice, creating corporate engagement programmes & advising on sustainability strategy across sectors
She is a former Managing Director of CDSB, Chair of the Oil & Gas Advisory Group at CDP and led CDP’s engagement with the TCFD. She has also advised the UN Sustainable Stock Exchanges Initiative and the UK-City of London Green Finance Initiative
Jane began her career in upstream oil & gas exploration with BP, holds an MBA from INSEAD & a Post-Graduate Certificate in Sustainable Business from Cambridge
Jane works with Lansons Strategic and Reputation Management Consultancy, advising clients on climate-related reputational risk issues
